Ministry is the Body of Christ in action, continuing the work of Jesus as we, empowered and led by the Holy Spirit, grow God's kingdom within us, among us, and in the world around us.  All our ministries are organized around a three-part process for spiritual growth:

CONNECT

The heart of any religion is a life-giving connection with God.  We connect with God by grace through faith, a connection that begins in baptism and renews as His Spirit  impacts our hearts through His Word and in holy communion. We connect with one another in the Body of Christ as we enjoy time together, grow in faith together, and serve others together.
 

GROW

We grow in faith as we spend time in God's Word, where His commands and promises intersect with the events of our daily lives.  Small groups for all ages -- adults, teens and children -- provide a place of mutual trust, accountability, and support where we grow deeper in love for God, one another, and our world.

SERVE

As we grow in love for God and others, we are moved to take our part in growing God's kingdom in the hearts of those around us.  That means following Jesus' example of serving.  We serve one another by volunteering in one of our many ministries.  We serve our community by volunteering in community outreach events, such as the LSO Fam Jam. Vacation Bible School, Operation Invite, or our Start Smart Preschool Sports Camp.  We serve our world by supporting mission efforts around the globe and sending our own short-term mission teams to people in need.
