Church Center Sundays

A little more than a year ago Royal Redeemer switched to a different church management software called Planning Center.  Planning Center is a set of software tools to help churches organize information, coordinate events, communicate with teams, and connect your congregation.

After many conversations about this transition, we realize a need to revisit this choice with the congregation and better communicate how this software benefits you!

During the month of January we will have volunteers around the Commons on Sunday morning to do just that.  Tables will be set up with helpful one-sheet guides for things like:

  • opting in to the church directory and uploading your photo
  • downloading and using the Church Center App
  • understanding the difference between Planning Center and Church Center
  • Accessing Church Center from a computer or smartphone

All this is leading toward Sunday, January 29th when we will celebrate another Fellowship Sunday, have our annual Voter’s Assembly, and have printed directories with as many photos and addresses as possible!!!

January Second Offering – Pathway to Hope

Every month, on the first Sunday of the Month, we gather a second offering and give 100% of it to a ministry that is make an impact for the kingdom. During the month of January we are supporting a local pregnancy care center, Pathway to Hope.

Pathway to Hope is based in downtown Hamilton and offers hope to those facing an unexpected pregnancy. They serve women and men facing unexpected pregnancies with free resources, accurate information about their choices, ongoing support for families, and lasting hope.

Christmas Miracle Offering

Through our Christmas Miracle Offering we are challenging one another to remember in this season of giving that it’s actually JESUS’ birthday.  He’s told us what He wants most: Love.  To love Him and to love one another.  One important way we love another is to care for those who are “the least of these”: people in need of support and the hope of the cross.

We’re challenging all our members and friends to look at the total amount you are likely to spend on Christmas this year, and to give a percentage (10%?) of that to care for “the least of these”.  That means slimming down on your spending so you can give in a way that makes a huge impact in the lives of others in need.

Throughout the month of December, you will have the opportunity to celebrate Jesus’ birthday by bringing your Christmas Miracle offering to support two families facing financial challenges.

Please make checks to Royal Redeemer with the note “Christmas Miracle Offering”. Or You may contribute online at and selecting the “Christmas Miracle” option from the dropdown menu.

Together, we can create an unexpected miracle for others in Jesus’ name at Christmas!

Fall Giving Campaign Update

Dear Members and Friends,

As we wrap up the Fall Giving Campaign and prepare for the 2023 Budget, we wanted to share with you the pledged amounts and some information comparing last year’s pledges with the current totals received.

              # Of Pledges        $ of Pledges
     2022        71                    $300,000
     2023        55                    $237,000

Last year, based on the $300,000 pledged, the Church budget included an approximately $50,000 deficit. Over the next few weeks the Board and the Church Staff will be working to align the 2023 budget with the expected receipts based on the pledges.
As you can see, the amounts pledged are lower than last year and as such will likely mean the Board and Staff will need to carefully consider how to be fiscally responsible in their stewardship of the church budget.
If you have not done so, please prayerfully consider filling out the pledge card so the Board and Staff have an accurate amount to consider in their budget analysis for 2023. As always thank you for your generosity to Royal Redeemer and we pray that God continues to use the many blessings He gives us to Live out the Love of the King!

With Sincere Gratitude,

Jeremy Seebohm
2023 Fall Giving Campaign Team Lead

November 2nd Offering

The Christmas Adopt a Child Program is one of Reach Out Lakota’s special programs. Children of local families in need are provided with gifts at Christmas. Reach Out Lakota provided gifts to approximately 800 children this year. Royal Redeemer has supported this ministry for the last ten years. This year our congregation supported the program by donating 65 gifts for the children.

Second Offerings Update

Every month, on the first Sunday of the Month, we gather a second offering for a ministry that is make an impact for the kingdom. Here’s how the past few months have gone!

November – Operation Christmas Child – Royal Redeemer filled 111 shoeboxes and at least 4 people did “Build a Box” on line. This year Samaritan’s Purse will distribute their 200 millionth shoebox since they started in 1993. God is so awesome! Lynne Joehnk would like to thank everything for participating and wishes God’s blessing on you.

October – Lutheran World Relief $996.00

September – Vernacular Video Mission Int’l – $1912.00

August – Concordia Center for the Family – $400

July – RR Disaster Response Fund – $500

Fall Giving Campaign – Through You

This is an exciting new beginning for Royal Redeemer. To prepare us for 2023, the Fall Giving Campaign is moving forward in conjunction with the sermon series THROUGH YOU to recognize our gifts for His Kingdom. Over the next three weeks, we will hear about how we are each uniquely designed for Stewardship and how God works THROUGH YOU to further His Kingdom. While Stewardship includes our time, talent, and treasures, the Fall Giving Campaign focuses on the financial component of Stewardship. At the end of the Stewardship series, we will ask you for your financial pledge on Commitment Sunday so the Staff and Board of Servant leaders can budget for the upcoming year.

Taste of Royal Redeemer

Stay after worship on Sunday, October 30 and enjoy a Taste of Royal Redeemer! Beginning at 11:00am, sample tasty dishes from families across the congregation. Freewill offering. All proceeds will go to the Community Care Fund.

Calling all chefs! Do you make a dish that family and friends rave about? We hope you will join the fun and share it at the “Taste of Royal Redeemer”, Sunday, October 30. If you can’t support with food, we also need set up and clean up crews for this event.

Senior Pastor Call Accepted

Dear Members and Friends,

Greetings to each of you.  This week the next steps in the Call process have been completed.  The call document packet was finalized and shared with Ohio District President, Rev. Dr. Kevin Wilson.  Friday, I had the honor of presenting the call formally to Pastor Ben.

It is my pleasure to let you know that Pastor Ben has accepted the call as Senior Pastor to Royal Redeemer Lutheran Church!

We will be determining a date for an Installation Service.  Once the plans are confirmed, the Board will continue to communicate and provide updates to the congregation.

Thank you all for your prayers and support through the Senior Pastor Call process.

Respectfully yours,

Jenny Jarvis (Board President) on behalf of the Board of Servant Leaders
