CGS Groups

Connect-Grow-Serve (CGS) Groups are groups of people who Connect with each other, Grow in their relationship with God, and Serve others in love.

Moving beyond weekend worship to belong to one or more of these communities is essential to healthy spiritual growth.  Varying amounts of connecting, growing, and serving are okay, even expected.  To see some examples, watch the video below.

New Baby Support

This ministry supports young families from expecting to delivery and beyond!  We're here to help you connect with congregational supports that you can choose, like meals, a pastoral visit after your delivery, or advice and encouragement from other parents.  We also want to connect you with resources for growing your young family in faith, like baptism, Bibles for young children, or family and personal devotions. Contact Sherry Murphy Sherrymurphy2@icloud.com

Membership

Our membership series consists of three two-hour classes, one serve event, and the public confession of your commitment to the Church, the LCMS, and Royal Redeemer. The series is offered in the spring and fall each year. For class dates, contact the church office 513-779-4740 or churchoffice@royalredeemer.org

Class 1: Know & Grow

Explores spiritual types, differences in practices for spiritual growth, as well as the history and direction of Royal Redeemer.

Class 2: Connect & Serve

Instruction and discussion designed to help you identify and use the unique gifts you bring to the world and to Royal Redeemer, as we live out the love of our King.

Class 3: The Lutheran Faith

An overview of our beliefs as they are derived from the doctrines of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. This class is required for everyone new to the Lutheran faith.

Serve Event – In order to build community and encourage active service we plan one serve event for each Member Course that all participants are encouraged to attend.

Personal Style and Abilities Assessment – This inventory will help to find your strengths and passions to help you discern the ministry opportunities where you might serve with energy and joy. The assessment is used during the Connect and Serve class. To take the assessment online, please click HERE.

A Public Pledge – When you have completed the above classes and are ready to join, you will be formally received into membership on Membership Weekend, which occurs in the fall and spring of each year

No. The classes provide an opportunity to find out more about the Lutheran faith and this congregation.
You may choose not to join and still participate in many aspects of life at Royal Redeemer.

If you are coming from another Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod congregation, you may transfer your membership by contacting your former congregation to ask for a letter of transfer. You are still required to participate in the Know & Grow and Connect & Serve classes. The Lutheran Faith class is optional if you have had previous instruction in the Lutheran faith.

A committed relationship with a church family, voting rights in congregational matters, and leadership opportunities.
